What to do if you're in an accident:
- Dial 911 if there are any injuries.
- Avoid further incident. Move out of the way of traffic. Set flares or use a flashlight to alert other drivers.
- Notify the police. Stay at the scene until police arrive.
- Do not admit responsibility. Allow the investigators to determine the facts.Promptly report the incident to your insurance company.
- Exchange information with the other driver(s), including driver's license numbers, insurance information, and license plate numbers.
